The North Cascades Concert Band, under the direction of Mr. Lylburn Layer, and assistant conductor, Rob Patterman, is presenting an unusual and exciting fall concert series "Hollywood, Broadway and Beyond."
The special feature of this fall concert of the North Cascades Concert Band will be a combination concert with a guest community concert band playing the first half of each program followed by the North Cascades Concert Band after the intermission.
Ticket for the concerts may be purchased in Bellingham at Piper Music, Fairhaven at Village Books and in Anacortes at Watermark Book Co. Tickets may be purchased for all concerts at the door.

Guest band playing in Anacortes, at Brodniak Hall, will be the Skagit Community Band under the direction of Vincent Fejeran. The Skagit Community Band has been performing in the Skagit Valley for more than 35 years. Its rich history includes playing for the opening of the "Rest Stop" on I-5 north of Burlington, to the ground breaking of McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon. These musicians come from all walks of life and from all across the North Puget Sound including: Mount Vernon, Burlington, Bellingham, Anacortes, Sedro-Woolley, Whidbey Island, and La Conner. Our season consists of concerts performed in La Conner, Mount Vernon and Anacortes three times a year.
Vince Fejeran has been a music educator in the Skagit Valley since 1985. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound, he has taught music in the La Conner, Anacortes, Sedro Woolley, and Mount Vernon School districts. Currently he is the Instrumental Jazz Instructor and Jazz History Professor for the Skagit Valley College. He also teaches Elementary and Middle school music for the Immaculate Conception Regional School, and is the director of the Skagit Community Band. Mr. Fejeran is an active jazz musician and is the trombonist for the group "Dillingers Clambake."
