Bellingham Festival of Music

JULY 6 - JULY 21st

The Bellingham Festival of Music brings together principal players from major North American orchestras and exceptional musicians from other local, regional and national ensembles. These talented artists, under the direction of Artistic Director Michael Palmer, form the Festival Orchesta. The Orchestra will perform five concerts from July 6 - July 21st. The concert on July 9th featuring violinist, Joshua Bell, will be at the Mount Baker Theatre. The other four orchestral concerts… Show more featuring, Jeremy Denk, piano on July 6th, Lynn Harrell, cello on July 14th, Pablo Sainz Villegas, guitar on July 18th, and the Festival Chorus and guest vocalist will be held at WWU Performing Arts Center. Our Chamber by the Bay concert, July 15th, and a guitar recital with Pablo Sainz Villegas, July 19th, will both be held at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. Two free chamber concerts will be held at the Whatcom Museum at 2 pm on July 11th and July 17th.

A cello master class with Lynn Harrell will be held on July 13th at 2pm at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. A guitar master class with Pablo Sainz Villegas will be held on July 20th at 10am at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. These master classes are free and open to the public to observe.
