Family 4th of July Celebration

Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration Fireworks are back. Live music, children’s activities, an art show and one of the largest fireworks displays in the region will be presented at Zuanich Point Park, alongside Squalicum Harbor, in Bellingham during the Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration.
Because the 4th of July falls in the middle of the week this year and many people will return to work the following day, the event will be smaller and start later in the afternoon than when Independence Day… Show more falls on or near a weekend.
Free live music sponsored by the Port of Bellingham will run from 4:30-10 p.m. with bands performing on the back patio of the Squalicum Boathouse at the park. Food vendors will also be on site selling their wares, and Giggles the Clown will have games, face painting, spin art and balloon sculptures for kids. Some children’s activities will cost $1 while others will be free.
The annual Independence Day fireworks display, presented by Haggen Food and Pharmacy and the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will start at approximately 10:30 p.m. Haggen has been the primary sponsor of the Bellingham fireworks display since 1995.
The schedule of live music is: Blessed Coast, 4:30-6 p.m.; The Primetime Band, 6:30-8 p.m.; The Atlantics, 8:30-10 p.m. A consortium that includes the Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism, Allied Arts, the Port and the City of Bellingham will be displaying art and photos at the Squalicum Boathouse, including winners from the City’s Essence of Bellingham photo contest and the Port’s GP Site art/photo contest.

Gather your family and friends, meet at your favorite spot in Bellingham and watch a spectacular display of pyrotechnics at its finest. You won’t want to miss a single pop, bam, boom while this year’s display lights up the sky over Bellingham Bay. Fireworks start at about 10:15 p.m.
