Whatcom Symphony Orchestra - Sarah Chang Returns!

The Whatcom Symphony is thrilled to welcome back international superstar violinist Sarah Chang. Her sold-out 2009 appearance sparked such an enthusiastic response that Sarah asked to come back for another memorable afternoon! The program includes a dazzling suite of music from West Side Story, arranged especially for Sarah by noted Hollywood composer David Newman. Plus the ever-popular Symphony #9 (“From the New World”) by Dvorak.

Conducted by David Alexander Rahbee, one of four remarkable finalists… Show more in the search for a new WSO Music Director. Maestro Rahbee is completing his Doctorate in orchestral conducting at the University of Montreal. He was assistant conductor at the Vienna State Opera, and has conducted orchestras throughout Europe.
