Whatcom Symphony Orchestra - Sharon Isbin – Reigning Diva of the Classical Guitar!

The Whatcom Symphony proudly presents classical guitar’s first lady, international superstar Sharon Isbin. After recent appearances at the White House and around the world, Sharon comes to Bellingham as the WSO’s first-ever guitar soloist. Ms. Isbin will perform the mesmerizing Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo. Program also includes Tchaikovsky’s heroic Symphony #5, and Bizet’s tuneful Carmen Suite #1.

Conducted by Yaniv Attar, one of four remarkable finalists in the search for a new WSO Music… Show more Director. Attar has studied in Jerusalem, London, New York and Montreal, and has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, the orchestras of Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Alabama, Virginia, Jerusalem, Haifa, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Russe Philharmonic Bulgaria and the Bacau Philharmonic Romania.
