"Stumbling Blocks 2 Stepping Stones: Overcoming limitations through Art"

Artists who have some form of disability will display their artistic talents Jan. 4-26. Organized by a small group of Bellingham volunteers, the exhibit will celebrate a unique community of local artists who also happen to have some form of disability. The artists’ works will primarily be paintings. The purpose of the event is to provide a public forum for these artists to show their works and to bring positive attention to this community of artists. Any proceeds generated from this year’s event… Show more will go to supporting The Art Without Boundaries Association, a nonprofit organization that serves the disabled artists community. The celebration will open during the January 4th First Friday Art Walk with music entertainment, refreshments, and an opportunity to meet some of the artists. It will conclude with a bash including music, dancing, and an auction to raise money to support local artists who are overcoming their limitations thru art. The music venue is being organized by local soulful musician Chad Petersen. Some of the artists’ works will be for sale to the public during the month between the events.

The Art Without Boundaries Association is a professional association of Certified Mneme Therapists.
