Community Song Vigil for Sandy Hook Elementary School

On Friday, Dec. 14, 26 precious souls were lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Pay tribute to these dear lives and join us to sing four holiday songs: O Holy Night, Silent Night, Away In A Manger, and The First Noel. We'll provide song sheets, as well as signs for each victim bearing their names, ages, and photos – and a 26-tealight candle display, one candle for each soul.

In cooperation with the Newtown-based Hearts of Hope project, we’ll also feature a station where people can… Show more decorate heart-shaped pages with messages and art. The Newtown Congregational Church is collecting these and plans to plaster the town with this artwork to remind their fair citizens that they are not alone.

Please arrive between 1 – 1:15pm to pick up your green/white ribbon (Sandy Hook’s school colors), song sheets, and receive instructions for the event.
