Rooted Emerging presents the 3rd annual “Council of the Animals”, Saturday September 23, 2017 at the Boulevard Park stage. The free all-ages show, “The Circle Holds It All” featuring vocalist Meghan Yates and puppeteer Virginia Rose, with Director Vanessa Osage, includes song, story, puppetry and dance. Check in at 11 am. Following the show, Rooted Emerging mentors lead a 2 hour workshop for girls, boys (including self-identified), ages 9-12, $35. A one-day introduction to Rooted Emerging programs and preparation for the Rite of Passage that happens each spring. Rain or shine, walking/biking recommended. www.rootedemerging.org
