Virtual Group Reading for Writing Together, Rising Together Project

Poetry Reading/Spoken Word
Peoples’ Perspectives: COVID-19 in Whatcom County is a county-wide, multimedia initiative to capture and archive our experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual reading is the conference’s contribution to this project.
*Please note that registration to attend is NOT a reservation to read. Readers will be selected by August 31.
Call for Submissions:
The Chuckanut Writers Conference invites submissions of poetry or creative nonfiction for a virtual reading of creative work that responds to the coronavirus pandemic. The virtual reading is scheduled to take place the evening of Thursday, September 10 at 6:30. We will accept submissions until July 31, 2020. We are open to submissions from writers who reside in Whatcom County. Creative work may explore any aspect of the coronavirus pandemic. We also invite submissions from young writers and will include in the reading elementary students, as well as junior high and high school students.
