Course descriptions for all modules - Module 1 will cover palpation and treatment of the urinary bladder, coccyx… Show more (tailbone) and pelvic floor pain. Common conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, interstitial cystitis, incontinence, and various pelvic pain syndromes will be discussed and treatment options offered (October 2011). Module 2 will cover palpation and treatment of the uterus, ovaries, and prostate gland. Conditions such as dysmenorrhea, ovulation pain, BPH, and various fertility optimization issues for men and women will be discussed and treatment options offered (December 2011). Module 3 will cover palpation and treatment of the large and small intestine. Conditions such as constipation, IBS, spastic colon, food allergies, and other digestive issues will be discussed and treatment options offered (January 2012). Module 4 will review and palpate the fascial architecture of the abdomen from superficial to deep including the belly wall layers, parietal peritoneum, and retroperitoneal structures. "See" and put your hands on many of the fascial suspensory structures of the belly and pelvic organs (February 2012). Module 5 will cover upper abdomen issues related to the stomach, esophagus, duodenum and gall bladder. Conditions such as acid reflux, gastritis, and gall bladder congestion will be discussed and treatment options offered (March 2012). Module 6 covers optimizing the breath including working with the muscles of respiration, mobilizing ribs, and exploring the effects of the breah on the autonomic nervous system.All of the abdominal organs are in motion as we breathe, and we will explore specifically those organs that are in dirct contact with the respiratory diaphragm (April 2012). Module 7 - There are myriad factors contribuitng to low back and pelvis pain, and this module will explore manual interventions via the abdomen. This module is essentially the "put it all together" module focusing on the anterior lumbar spine, suspensory fascia, core musculature, and pelvic viscera (May 2012). 5. Cost / CEU - $60 / 4 hours per module 6. Other details - 12 students max for each date Please note that this is not a NCBTMB national certification CE event. However, all modules count towards WA state and AMTA CE hour requirements. There will be no tuition refunds / carry overs for these trainings.
