Adam Helenske is concluding his artist-in-residency at Pottery Northwest with a virtuoso solo soda show: The End is Nothing, The Road is All. Akin to wood and salt firing, but also very different, the dramatic surfaces that can be achieve from soda firing requires an in-depth understanding of flame patterns and paths. The End is Nothing, The Road is All presents the fruits of Helenske’s 2 year journey learning the intricacies of loading and firing soda kilns at Pottery Northwest.
