At the Heart of it All: Practice that Promotes Quality of Life

Aimed at service provider leadership, support staff, and professionals, the conference will feature 2 days of interactive dialogue led by speakers who understand how to use quality of life survey data to support continuous quality improvement. The conference will showcase what has been learned from initial implementation of personal outcome measurement in BC and Alberta, thereby helping community living sector staff to better understand what a focus on quality of life can mean for them in their roles.… Show more A one-day post conference event on October 19 th will enable service provider leaders to use knowledge gained at the conference to explore how they can begin to align policy, practice and governance to support the achievement of personal outcomes.
We anticipate that many people will want to attend the conference, so we are inviting you to register before registration opens to everyone on April 15 th . Your perspective as a leader is very important. As a participant, you will make an important contribution to the conference process and to our overall goal of developing a toolkit to support agencies and staff who are committed to continuous quality improvement.
The conference will also offer you many networking and learning opportunities. Our growing list of distinguished speakers includes quality of life expert and conference keynote speaker Dr Robert Schalock as well as Dr. Gordon Bonham, Dr. Ivan Brown, Jos Van Loon, and Claudia Claes. We expect participants from across Canada and the USA to attend.
We hope you can join us as we celebrate British Columbia’s Community Living Month by exploring how we can work together to support continuous quality improvement in the community living sector.
