This training is for front line workers who provide direct or indirect support and service to Newcomers.

Court Orientation and Workshop on the Courts of BC
Participants will get an introduction to the BC’s court system:… Show more how it works, why it is important and the legal terms and concepts used in court. Presenters will provide information about court protocol, the structure of BC’s justice system and more.
Court watching and a Session with Justice System Professionals
Participants will get the opportunity to go to courtrooms to watch real trials in progress and observe the roles of justice system professionals. Participants may see witnesses and the accused in court and at certain locations, there may also be the possibility to see juries, parties involved in civil suits.
