Hattie Strother Meeting Quester Chapter 1514

Hattie Strother Meeting Quester Chapter 1514

Talks/Lectures
Sitting around the dining room table we will learn about the variety of irons that are part of the Sewing Room display, that was created to honor Hattie Strother, a seamstress. A variety of Sad irons, some heated on the wood burning stove, another iron patented in 1866 fueled by charcoal or one fueled by kerosene before the invention of the electrical iron of today. Please join us and bring your memories of sprinkling your cotton clothing to be ready for ironing. We are part of The International Questers and one of the eleven chapters in Washington State. Our chapter meets September to March with the State Meeting, April 13, on Fir Island, and International Convention in Ontario, Canada. Email questersinbellingham@hotmail.com for more information.
