The Skriker by Caryl Churchill

The Skriker by Caryl Churchill

Opening October 11th at Sylvia Center for the Arts, the first Main Stage Production in iDiOM Theater’s 2018–19 Season is The Skriker, a 1994 play by Caryl Churchill that tells the story of an ancient fairy who transforms into a plethora of objects and people as it pursues Lily and Josie, two teenage mothers whom it befriends, manipulates, seduces and entraps. Directed by Shu-Ling Hergenhahn-Zhao (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play; Adoration of Dora), The Skriker is a dark fairy tale about love, loss, and revenge, with elements of horror, naturalism and ‘magical realism’.
