Heritage Resources Distinguished Speaker Arlene Blum to present "Women in High Places: To Annapurna and Beyond"

Talks/Lectures
Arlene Blum, biophysical chemist, author, and mountaineer, has led successful expeditions to some of the world’s most challenging mountains. She is the author of the mountaineering classics, "Annapurna: A Woman’s Place" and "Breaking Trail: A Climbing Life," and is also engaged in efforts to protect human health and the global environment. Blum will share images and stories from her climbs of several high peaks, and speak about her scientific research and policy work. The event will include a reception and talk, with light refreshments provided. Co-sponsored by Western Libraries Heritage Resources, Huxley College of the Environment, Associated Students Outdoor Center, and Center for Canadian American Studies.
